Payment Plans and Terms

Program Fees: Two Payment Options

Payment in Full–Due with Enrollment

Payment Plan–(Full grade only; subject to A Beka Academy Office approval. Not available for K4 enrollments.)

• $350 down payment required.
• Six monthly payments due on first of each month following originally assigned begin date.
• Monthly statements will be issued.
• A Beka Academy can charge your monthly payment to your credit or debit card automatically. Sign up for the automatic deduction plan one of the following ways:
  • › Mark “Automatically Charge” on Enrollment Agreement.
  • › Sign up online.
  • › Call A Beka Academy Office.

Only the amount of the monthly payment will be charged and only one charge date can be chosen per A Beka Academy account. Automatic payments are done on an annual agreement basis.

Payment Terms—Payments are considered past due if not received by the due date, resulting in the following:

• $20 Late Fee
• Video streaming and DVD shipments stopped immediately
• Student records withheld and student work not evaluated until payment is made (Accredited Program).
• Delinquent accounts or outstanding DVDs may prevent the use of payment plan for future enrollments.
• Prices and fees subject to change without notice.

Additional Credit

If enrolling for a 7th credit in grades 7–12, there is a charge of $180. This must be paid with payment in full or with down payment if choosing payment plan.

Shipping

Included in cost of program for delivery by UPS in contiguous U.S. All UPS deliveries require street address and telephone number. Charges for delivery are noted below. If applicable, shipping charges must be included in initial payment. See shipping chart below.

Discounts are applied to payment in full or last monthly payment and are forfeited if customer cancels the program. Discounts are available only for full-grade enrollments. Same-grade enrollments are excluded.

Early Enrollment Discount: $50—Available for all full-grade, full-year enrollments if Enrollment Agreement is received between March 1 and June 30, 2012.

• Not available for K4 enrollments

New Enrollment Discount: $50—Available to students not enrolled in a Beka Academy since March 25, 2011.

• Discount only valid on full-grade, full-year enrollments.
• Enrollment must be completed at Homeschool Materials Display or A Beka Academy online event
• Discount valid from March 1 to July 28, 2012.
• $50 applied to payment in full amount or last monthly payment(s).
• Not available for K4 enrollments.

Same Grade—A discounted rate is available to those enrolling two or more children in immediate family into the same grade at the same time. Pay full price for the first student; additional student pays same-grade fee. Not available for K4 or K5 enrollments. Cannot be combined with any other discount. (Due in full at time of enrollment.)

Diploma Fee

$15 is charged for students receiving a diploma from A Beka Academy. Diplomas will be issued at graduation or mailed when fourth grading period work is completed and evaluated. Fee will be charged with payment in full amount or with down payment if you choose the payment plan.

Sales Tax

According to each state's laws, orders will be charged current state and local sales tax at point of sale. Sales tax is based on Book Kit Value (or full program cost in FL and TN). See enrollment agreement for states requiring sales tax.

Switching/Adding

Switching/adding is not available after 30 days from assigned begin date. There will be a $25 fee plus materials cost for all switches. Media switches will receive a prorated tuition based on time used. Contact A Beka Academy Office for details.

Late Student Work

Accredited Program

• All student work should be kept current to ensure academic progress.
• If student work is not received within two weeks after end of each grading period as indicated on academic calendar, a $50 late charge must be paid before work will be evaluated.
• If final work is received within one month following assigned end date, a $100 charge must be paid before work will be evaluated.
• Work received after one month following assigned end date will not be evaluated. To receive credit through A Beka Academy Office, students must re-enroll and pay all re-enrollment costs.

DVD Returns

DVDs are the unconditional property of A Beka Academy and must be returned after viewing each shipment. Failure to do so will delay future shipments. Prepaid UPS Return Service (RS) labels are available online through your A Beka Academy account. (This service is available for U.S., Canada, and most foreign countries.) Cost of returning DVDs by any other method is the customer's responsibility. A Beka Academy is not responsible for any loss or damages incurred in return shipments when using methods other than prepaid UPS Return Service. Packages returned C.O.D. will be returned to the sender.

Late Video Fees

• Streaming and DVD students needing longer than the 12-month time limit must pay a $50 charge for the first month following assigned end date and an additional $50 charge for the second month following assigned end date.
• If all DVDs are not received by A Beka Academy by customer's assigned end date:
  • › there will be a $400 Late Return Fee (refundable when DVDs are returned)
  • › customer may not be eligible to use the Payment Plan on future year’s enrollments.

Cancellations

If you must cancel the program, contact the A Beka Academy Office immediately. You are responsible for all program charges and monthly fees until you receive a cancellation confirmation number.

• After receiving a confirmation number, no student work will be evaluated and all DVDs must be returned within 30 days.
• Accounts are automatically reactivated if materials are not returned within 30 days of cancellation.

Within 30 Days

There is a 30-day money-back guarantee on all enrollments from the assigned begin date. If you are not completely satisfied, return all materials. A Beka Academy will not credit you for partial returns and will not return materials to you.

• If all returned materials are received in new, unused condition, a full refund will be issued.
• If any materials are marked or damaged, a full refund will be issued less a $60 Processing Fee.
• A Beka Academy is not responsible for any loss or damages incurred in return shipments when using methods other than prepaid UPS Return Service.
  • › A Beka Academy will provide UPS return shipping labels to all customers in the contiguous U.S.
  • › Some shipments may not be eligible for the UPS Return Service label and must be returned via a trackable method at the customer's expense.

Between 30 and 90 Days

For cancellations after 30 days from assigned begin date, A Beka Academy will issue a prorated refund upon receipt of all outstanding DVDs or termination of Video Streaming.

• Books are the unconditional property of the user and cannot be returned for credit.
• Tuition will be prorated for time enrolled, up to 90 days.
• No refund will be issued for cancellations after 90 days.
• All DVDs must be returned within 30 days from cancellation confirmation.

Statements

First payment is due the first of the month following originally assigned begin date and each subsequent month for six months. Statements will be issued. When payment is not received, a $20 Late Fee is charged, video streaming and DVD shipments are stopped immediately, student records are withheld, and customer may not be eligible to use the payment plan for future enrollments.

Statements may be viewed online. To receive notification by e-mail when your statement is available, provide e-mail address on Enrollment Agreement. A paper copy is not provided (can be printed from our Website).

Begin Date

Preferred begin date to start school year is chosen by parent (subject to office approval). End date is 12 months from begin date.

If a student is unable to begin by assigned begin date, contact A Beka Academy Office within thirty days of original begin date. Begin dates may not be changed after student has begun the program. Begin date changes will not change the due date of first monthly payment.

Address Changes

Provide 30 days notice on any address changes.
