Basic Costs

Payment Plans and Terms

Two payment methods (Payment in Full and Payment Plan) are available for full-grade enrollment Accredited Program (Program 1) or Non-Accredited Program (Program 2).

Payment in Full

Payment in full is due with enrollment agreement.

Payment Plan

(subject to A Beka Academy Office approval, available for full-grade only)

A $425 down payment is required. Monthly payments are due the first of each month, following the original assigned begin date, for a total of six months. Monthly statements will be issued.

Payment Terms

Payments are considered past due if not received each month, resulting in the following:

• A $20 Late Fee
• DVD shipments or video streaming will stop immediately.
• Student records will be withheld and student work will not be evaluated until payment is made. (Accredited Program (Program 1) only)
• Customers with delinquent accounts or outstanding DVDs will not be eligible to use the payment plan for future enrollments.
• Prices are subject to change without notice.

Retainer Fee

(Important Information)

• A $75 retainer fee is included in the cost of the full-grade program and a $50 retainer fee is included in the cost of an individual course.
• The retainer, less any applicable sales tax, will automatically be applied to your A Beka Academy account for use on your next year's enrollment at your end date, provided that all DVDs are returned (if applicable) and account is current.
• Customers that would like their retainer refunded to them must make a request to the A Beka Academy Office.
• If requesting a refund, please allow 30 days after DVDs have been received by A Beka Academy (if applicable) for your refund.

Sales Tax

According to the laws of each state, orders will be charged current sales tax plus applicable local tax. See enrollment agreement for listing of states for which we are required to collect sales tax. (If applicable, this amount will be deducted from your retainer.)

Shipping

Shipping is included in the cost of the program for delivery by UPS in the contiguous U.S. All UPS deliveries require a street address and a telephone number. Charges for delivery are noted below. Charges for shipping must be included in your initial payment.

Video Streaming Savings - $100

Receive a $100 savings off the Base Cost of the video program

All discounts are applied to payment in full amount or last monthly payment, excluding the family kit discount which is applied to the first monthly payment, and are forfeited if customer cancels program without paying in full.

Early Enrollment Discount - $50

Receive a $50 discount on a full-grade enrollment if agreement is received on or before June 30, 2009.

Multiple-Child Discount — $50

Available to families with two or more children enrolled in a full grade at the same time.

• Receive a $50 discount for each additional child.
• This discount is available only for full-grade enrollments which start at the same time and cannot be used in conjunction with the Same-Grade Tuition.

Fees

Accreditation Fee

A $100 Accreditation Fee will be added when enrolling into the Accredited Program (Program 1). This fee will be applied to the payment in full amount or last monthly payment.

Same-Grade Tuition

Available to those who are enrolling two children in their immediate family into the same grade. Pay full price for the first student, and additional student pays viewing fee plus cost of student materials. (Contact A Beka Academy for student materials cost.)

Viewing Fees

• $250 full-grade, $75 individual course (grades 7-12)

Cancellations

If circumstances require you to cancel the program, please contact the A Beka Academy Office immediately. You are responsible for the cost of the program until the time you contact our office and receive a cancellation confirmation number verifying your cancellation.

• A Beka Academy offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on full grade enrollments*. If you are not completely satisfied, return all books in new, unused condition for a full refund. If any books are used or you wish to keep them, a processing fee will be charged. (Customers in the contiguous U.S. or Canada may request pre-paid shipping labels to return books via UPS.)
• If canceling after 30 days from your assigned begin date:
  • Full - Grade Payment in Full - Money will be refunded less a processing fee and the cost of the books not returned (only books in new and unused condition may be returned). Your retainer will be applied or refunded once all DVDs are received back at our office(if applicable).
  • Full - Grade Payment Plan - You will not be responsible for any payments due after the date of your cancellation. Money will be refunded less a processing fee and the cost of the books not returned (only books in new and unused condition may be returned). Your retainer will be applied or refunded once all DVDs are received back at our office(if applicable).
• If enrolled in an individual course:
  • If all DVDs (if applicable) and books (in new and unused condition) are returned, your money will be refunded less a $50 Cancellation Fee.
  • If all books cannot be returned (only books in new and unused condition may be returned) a processing fee will be charged. Your retainer will be applied once all DVDs are received back at our office(if applicable).

Graduation Fees

A $15 diploma fee is due at the time of enrollment for students receiving a diploma from A Beka Academy. Additional information regarding graduation fees, dates, etc., will be sent to graduating seniors in the mail.

Switching / Adding

Switching / adding is not available after 30 days from the assigned begin date. There will be a $25 fee plus materials cost for anyone desiring to switch grade levels or individual courses. Please contact the A Beka Academy Office for switching materials cost or course adding fees.

DVD Returns

DVDs are the unconditional property of A Beka Academy and must be returned to A Beka Academy after viewing each shipment. Failure to do so will delay future shipments. Pre-paid UPS Authorized Return labels are included in the cost of the program and are sent out with each shipment (for contiguous U.S. and Canada only). The cost of returning DVDs by any other method is the responsibility of the customer. Packages returned C.O.D. will be returned to the sender.

Late Video Fees - Accredited Program (Program 1) and Non-Accredited Program (Program 2)

• Students needing to view DVDs or streaming lessons longer than the 10-month time limit will need to pay a $50 charge for the first month following your assigned end date and an additional $50 charge for the second month following your assigned end date.
• If all applicable DVDs are not received by A Beka Academy by the customer’s assigned end date:
  • retainer will be forfeited
  • there will be a $400 late return fee (refundable when DVDs are returned)
  • customer will not be eligible to use the payment plan on future year’s enrollments.

Book Returns

Books are the unconditional property of the user and cannot be returned for credit without approval from the A Beka Academy Office. Books returned without approval will not be issued credit nor return made to the sender.

Late Student Work (Accredited Program (Program 1))

• All student work should be kept current to ensure academic progress. During the year, if student work is not received within two weeks after the end of each grading period as indicated on your calendar, a $50 charge must be paid before the work will be evaluated.
• If work is received within one month following your assigned end date, a $100 charge must be paid before the work will be evaluated.
• Work received after one month following your assigned end date will not be evaluated. To receive credit through the A Beka Academy Office, students must reenroll and pay all reenrollment costs.

Other

Address Changes

Please give 30 days notice on any address changes.

Begin Date Changes

• If a student is unable to begin the program by the assigned begin date, please contact the A Beka Academy Office within thirty days of the assigned begin date.
• Begin dates may not be changed after a student has begun the program.
