Character-building patriotic stories from A Beka Book series, vocabulary, speed reading, and book reports.

Spelling and Poetry

30 words and definitions per week.

Penmanship

Daily work on correct letter formation and writing; keeping a journal.

English

Grammar, usage, and composition.

History

A six-week unit of state history will also be covered. The responsibility of collecting material to teach the unit of state history will belong to the home supervisor.

Science

Survey of earth science, sound, weather, plants, insects, water, etc.

Arithmetic

Drill in speed and accuracy in the four arithmetic processes, multiplication facts through 12, multiplying by three-digit numbers, dividing by two-digit numbers, using fractions, and measures.

Health, Bible, poetry, and art also included.
